So, Sherlock. I can see why people were so freaking excited for SHINee's comeback. This is a fantastic video, amazing dance, and a great song. I know I've mentioned this before, many times, but I am in love with how synchronized SHINee always is. I'm glad to see that as the years went by they remained as perfectly in tune with each other as ever. From Reply to Sherlock their dance moves are the best SM has to offer. Sorry Exo, your dance moves are pretty awesome too, but SHINee will always be the best. I love the room that they're standing in, it's so old fashioned looking. It looks like the group walked into an older looking building in the mid afternoon and started dancing. Their wardrobe is wonderful and matches their surroundings perfectly. Each of the members are wearing muted colors: whites(dull whites not bleach whites), faded blue jean colors, light grays, worn reds. Even Key's, which of whom is wearing reds and yellows, are toned down to a worn and mellow shade. Very old fashioned looking. May I also add how long Minho's legs look? Yes? Good, cause they are freaking long in this video. :)
A couple of the moves they do that just kill me. Or maybe more than a couple.
First, are their freeze poses. 0:24-0:26 Joonghyun, and all of SHINee, strikes four different poses and as he switches between poses one member stays in the previous pose. They do this for all four of his poses. Fantastic. Again they do this at 1:36-1:38. Minho runs, yes runs, across the screen while striking a different pose with each beat. As he runs, yes runs, one member stays in his previous pose. They do this once more with Onew at 2:12-2:14 (on this one if you look at Minho and Joonghyun, you can see just how heavily they are breathing). I can't get over it. Then they do sort of a reverse freeze pose at 2:50-2:52 when Taemin starts in one pose and runs across the stage picking up members as he goes while doing a new pose each beat. Each member he picks up runs with him while striking each pose he does. Makes me so happy.
Second, their electrocuted bunny. At 2:54 Key starts this little jump thing which I'm going to call the electrocuted bunny because it looks like what I would think a bunny would do if you zapped it. Key starts the hop and two of the members join in each time till they're all hopping. It looks so cool.
Third, unrolling ripple. The first step they do is this unrolling ripple chain. Starting with Minho and ending with Taemin, tallest to shortest :D, each member rolls out on one beat till they go from straight vertical line to a diagonal. Taemin ends up doing a total of five spins I do believe. Like the rest of their steps, it just looks freaking cool. They do this twice, once at 0:06-0:09 and then again at 2:32-2:35.
Fourth, giant steps. This is my favorite part of this dance because it is freaking awesome!!! At 1:20 SHINee starts taking these monster running steps across their stage. Then they do it again at 1:56 and then yet again at 2:05 and if that isn't enough awesomeness, they do it once more at 3:10. I want to do this move down the halls of my college. I bet I could get F4fighting! to do it with me.
